I set up my first blog back in 2013. My e-commerce business journey was 2 years in and it was a functional move – to answer some of the customer FAQs we got time and time again.
Setting up the blog was a good move. We were saving time and adding value to our customers at the same time – win win.
Then, a few years later I was knee-deep in some Google Analytics work when I realised that not only was the blog a brilliant vehicle for answering customer questions, but it was also bringing us organic web traffic. A lot of FREE web traffic!

I started to blog about products that we wanted to rank higher in Google Search – it worked. Before long, we were top of Google search results for loads of products we were selling. And we stayed there.
Fast forward to 2023 – those blog posts I wrote back in 2013 were STILL bringing web traffic 10 years later. Now that’s the gift that keeps on giving!
